This is my full time work experience history, before I started my own company:

Mechatronics and Application Engineer     
Pacifica Group Technology (a PBR Company), Melbourne, Australia

April 2002 to December 2007

I was a part of an advanced engineering team which developed brake by wire technology. I currently use the methodologies and the skills acquired in this position in my current role at DAE Automation.

Duties included:

  • Mechatronic systems development
  • Developing software for embedded systems involving FlexRay time triggered communication protocol and CAN bus.
  • Software in loop simulation, hardware in loop simulation and Software engineering life cycle development, rapid prototyping
  • Test rigs developments to test the product for life cycle performance
  • First aid support

Application Engineer    
ANCA CNC Machines, Melbourne, Australia      

February 1996 to April 2002

                                         

I was an application engineer working across different departments. I currently use the skills acquired in this position in my current role at DAE Automation.

Duties included:

  • Electrical drafting and design of CNC machines and their robotic loading systems
  • PLC development for CNC machines automation
  • Project management
  • Software engineering and windows applications development in Visual C++ for the loading systems graphic interface.
  • PLC HMI development in Visual C++
  • Travelling around the globe to support business development and to repair faulty machines
  • First aid support

Control System Designer    
Factory Automation + Robotics, Melbourne, Australia  

 May 1995 to January 1996 

I was a developer control system designer within one major project. I currently use the skills acquired in this position in my current role at DAE Automation.

Duties included:

  • Following the business support with an Italian supplier
  • Technical support and translations of documents, emails, and phone calls
  • Electrical drafting and design of a manufacturing automation system
  • PLC development
  • System commissioning and testing
  • Writing the manufacturing automation system manual

Test Engineer / Second Lieutenant    
Italian Army, Venice, Italy

March 1992 to July 1994 

I was a Second Lieutenant / Engineer in the Italian Army within the engineering division in command of 30 soldiers. I currently use the skills acquired in this position in my current role at DAE Automation.

Duties included:

  • Testing and preventative maintenance of advanced weapon systems
  • Leading projects while handling high pressure situations and performing tasks within stressful environments
  • Training and managing 30 soldiers
  • Safety management and workplace wellbeing
  • First aid support
